Pridnestrovian schoolchildren learnt about modern professions in agriculture ‘Agronomist’ and ‘Mechatronics of land ameliorative systems’.
An open day aimed at attracting schoolchildren to new professions in agriculture was held at the production base of the Tiraspol Cereal Complex. The event, organized by our company together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the PMR (Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic) and the Ministry of Education, brought together 75 ninth graders who want to get acquainted with modern professions.
The schoolchildren got acquainted with two modern professions – "Agronomist" and "Mechatronics of reclamation systems". Training in these areas is conducted at the M.V. Frunze Tiraspol Agrarian and Technical College according to the dual system, in which students spend at least half of their academic time at the enterprise.
On the territory of CJSC "Tiraspol Cereal Complex", ninth graders were shown the operation of an elevator and agricultural machinery used in field work. An important aspect was that all the equipment is equipped with an on–board autopilot system, which requires knowledge not only in the field of mechanics, but also electronics - this is what future mechatronics are studying.
They also saw pumping stations and modern reclamation plants. It was told about the regulation of water supply to the fields, as well as about the operation and installation of sprinklers "Frigate", "Urapivot". The tour ended with a coffee break and a treat for the participants.
With best wishes,
The team of the Tiraspol Cereal Complex
